Director Statement
Border is a personal film about family separation and immigration.

Border is not a conventional approach to documentary. My goal was to start a conversation about family separation at the US/Canada border. It did not make sense to shoot talking-head interviews or verité - I could not see my family, I could just see Niagara Falls - so I made the “falls” tell the story.
