Bryan Angarita is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. He is a Hot Docs Talent Accelerator Fellow, as well as an alumnus of RIDM Doc Lab Montreal, IDFAcademy, and Berlinale/EFM Doc Toolbox. He is currently in development on his debut feature length documentary LOS GUADUALES.

His projects has been supported by Hot Docs Canada Crosscurrents, RIDM, the NFB, the Canada Arts Council, and the Toronto Arts Council. His films have been screened at festivals such as Indie Memphis, Third Horizon, and NYICFF. His films as director and cinematographer have been distributed by CFMDC and HBO. Bryan’s debut feature documentary in development LOS GUADUALES was awarded the NFB Prize and Cineground Prize by the jury at RIDM Forum’s Doc Lab Montreal.

Previously, Bryan participated in the making of the Academy Award winning film Moonlight and worked as a researcher interviewing undocumented workers in Spanish for RISEP, a research institute based in South Florida delivering policy proposals to the Florida Legislature for the benefit of immigrant worker health and safety.
